I have seen the new krylon spray paint that is made to paint over chrome or very shiny metal. It says that it gives it an awesome finish. Has anyone ever used it and how well will it hold up on a front bumper or foot/heel guards?

Well, I'd sand it first anyways.

it might paint over it great...but it will flake right off with any kind of rubbing. i painted my nerfs, hell guards, and bumpers just to tide me over before pc'ing them. it lasted till i got to the start finish line. they were already flaking off like crazy.

I wouldnt think it would work to well since chrome is a smooth surface and paint needs something to grab too.

Yeah... You need to sand it really good. Does sandblasting take chrome off? If you do paint right on a quad, it will last REALLY long.

The frame on my R is currently painted. It has an automotive job... You gotta prep, prime and clear coat just like you would on a car and it will last.

Yes sand blasting will take off chrome. Paint will not stick right to chrome, it has to be sanded good first to give the paint a good surface to stick to.
