Dead RAZR screen

well i was talking to a buddy on my RAZR cell phone, then i handed it to my dad so they could talk. My dad closes the phone, then i go to call someone. I open it up and the screen is black, so is the little one on top.

i restarted it, took the battery out put it bak in restarted it. and i got nothing.


anyone had this happen to them? i can still push buttons and crap and they make noise. and the keypad lights up when i push them, so i dunno what the problem is.

Maybe there is a little button like on laptops so when u shut it the monitor turns off and maybe it got stuck down or something.

Or maybe this is a good excuse to uprade to a slyver, lol. i would like to but dont really want to at the moment.

so can someone plzzz help me?!

I had 3 SLVRS.. POS! They freeze very easy and the itunes lags your whole phone.

My razr has never done that but sometimes if I drop it or close it to hard everything will go blank and restart

screen came back on :) another day with my RAZR.... hopefully it will last a little while so i can buy a new phone. lol

we actually have a department at work specifically for razr troubleshooting.

o ok thxx... and ya ill look into that MDA. i just have always wanted a pda type of phone, and now EVERYONE has razrs so i would like something different, pluss having this screen thing isnt helping me want to keep it. thxx for the help.

hey anyone know if a VERIZON pda phone will work with a CINGULAR sim card? i found an awesome deal from a friend and i dont know if it will work or not

No.
If you got the phone from Verison it is a "locked phone". It will only work on their band.

You either have to get Verison to unlock it for you, or find a way to do it yourself.

Even if it was unlocked, it will not work. Verizon works with CDMA technology, and Cingular uses GSM. You can not use a GSM phone on a CDMA network, and vice versa.

crap, it was a Treo 600... for like 50 bucks from a friend of mine. o well i never have good luck.

my dad has a black bury for work. they suck. the internet is so slow it takes like a hour to load a page. I dont like it. its a big sob as well
