hey i have an 05 450r its all stock except nerfs well my friends brother has a 01 raptor with alot of mods and he wants to trade me do u think this would be a good deal ? i ride trails sum time mx and i wanted to start racing xc
here is the mods of the raptor
686 102mm 12:1 compression J&E forged piston
*Stage 3 webcam camshaft with timing advance sproket
*GH racing valves with titanium retainers and high performance springs
*High performance head porting with 3 angle valve job
*Tranny conversion from 01 to 04 model
*GYTR Racing clutch and high performance custom spring kit
*L&A one way bearing
fmf exhuast



those are motor mods.

It has:
N-Style Graphics Kit
DG nerf bars
DG grab bar AC front bumper
Pro Taper bars with Billet clamp
+2 dura blue axle
itp rims with razr2 tires all around
A-arm Skid plates
AC Bumper
DG Grab bar
Blue Yamaha Shock Covers

would this be a good trade

Keep the r, nothing against a raptor we had an 01 and I liked it but I would rather have the 450 imo.

I'd stick with the 450, but its your choice of which one you like better.

"HE" wants to trade for a reason. It seems like everyone I know that has had a raptor (the 8-10 people), ALL sold them. They just didn't feel comfortable on the trails we ride, even though they are supposed to be decent trail machines.

Going from the 450r to the raptor is definately a downgrade.

....I honestly don't see the logic in even ASKING that question.....

I believe the 01's had horrible transmission problems.

Even if they didn't...why would you want a raptor over a 450R..especially an older one

he said it had a 04 tranny.

i would keep the 450!!!!
