Howdy everybody this is my first post and my first racing quad! I picked up a 05 trx450r about a month ago and they threw in some DG baja skidplates with the bike. I threw on the chassis plate the other day, and it vibrates to beat hell:mad: . Infact two of the bolts managed to loosen and fall off within twenty minutes of riding. I picked up some locktight and plan on using that next time I mount the plate, but is that gonna be enough to stop the rattling/vibration? Thanks for the help

Take a pc. of rubber hose and cut it in half. Lay this between your frame and the skid and then loctite your bolts and tighten it up. This should fix it bro.

BE SURE TO USE BLUE LOCTITE IF YOU EVER PLAN ON REMOVING THE SKID. IF YOU USE RED YOU'LL HAVE A HELL OF A TIME BREAKING THEM LOOSE

You can get a roll of weather striping from your auto parts store and stick in to the skid plate and that will also fix it.

we use foam tape on our full chassis skid works well

foam tape here to. got to replace it every 3-4 times i pull the plate which is after every ride. but it is a cheap fix/cost to stop the horrendous vibrating sound.

Aye I use foam tape weatherstripping from the local hardware store. Works great.

I also use weather strip on my quads. Another advantage of using weather strip is you dont scratch the paint off your chasis.

buy some longer bolts and use locktight and put washers and nuts on top.
