I read somewhere that the magnum stg 2 cam has a little more lift and duration that the hotcam stg 2. Is that true? Does anybody know the specs on the magnum?
thanks...

I've tried to find specs on the Magnum cams but never found them. If anyone knows, speak-up!

i actually just put the stage 2 hot cam in mine with a crf450 cam chain. i think the hot cam is pretty good so far but i havnt really looked up into the magnums. there probobly isnt going to be a whole lot of a difference between the 2 different companys though.

Sounds like the same specs as these 3 cams for the 400:

- GT Thunder....... .350, .345, 256, 256
- WB Track.......... .350, .345, 256, 256
- WEB 450/451..... .350, .345, 256, 256

Hotcams stage 2 isn't far off:

- Hotcams stg 2... .354, .350, 254, 248.5

yah thats all i could find for info also, i had my valves at stock and it would cut out on me, so i put them to .006 exhaust and .005 intake and it seems allot better. Gonna go a little further out and see what it does.

the magnum stage 2 is the same profile as the original stage 2 hot cam. the profile was changed a few years back to a milder grind on the stage 2 hotcam and the stage 3 was then added, when first introduced it was known as the "stroker" cam.

i loved the power of the original stage 2 hotcam, great all around IMO. but i like my stage 3 i have now as well, has a little more on top.
