Sprocket size??

will a bigger or smaller rear sprocket give you more speed?i have a 33 tooth on now and i need some more speed.i have a 15 tooth on the motor.thanks

Smaller in the rear will make your gearing taller.

Smaller in the front will make your gearing shorter.

so the smaller the sprocket the faster it will go on the topend,the bigger the sprocket the faster it will be in shorter distance but will run out of speed sooner,on the rear right?

you sure? never ehard of a 33 on the rear, smallest i have heard of is a 34 and most companies only stock as small as a 36. why not just go up a tooth in the front to a 16? most people mess with the front first and use the rear to fine tune their gearing since 1 tooth up front equals 2-3 teeth in the rear.

man a 33 tooth on the rear. I bet your bottom end sucks. I like bottom end power more then anything.

actually this is why im asking..im sure it is a 33 tooth,and i have gobs of bottom end power,but on the topend my brother can catch me and he has a 38 tooth.in all reality he should get me on bottom and with my 33 tooth i should be killing him on top end but it is the other way around.thus the reason why i asked cause im lost..
