Is the carrier wasted? It looks like it! Ebay twin bearing carrier, like 135 shipped.

Carrier should slide out. If it's seized in there, then you'll need a swinger as well.

looks like the carrier is shot so you will need to replace that. the twin row carrier would be a better buy as the bearings will last longer for you.

i would also check the runout on the axle. if you do not know, runout is how thick, or the diameter of the axle where the bearings ride. i forget what the tolerance on it is though.

as far as getting the bearings, you can get the bearings and seals off of ebay for a good price, but there are a few o-rings that should be replaced at the same time.

they are:
2 of part #91351-HA5-003
2 of part #91351-737-752
and
2 of part #91353-HA2-670

The brake rotor hub also needs replaced

before you try to take the carrier out, there is a little bolt on the back of the swing arm that need to be loosened or even taken out. be careful not to misplace the washer that is on the bolt if you take it all the way out.

how did you get the axle out with the brake rotor still on? did you take off the sprocket hub. That hub should stay on and you should have taken the rotor hub off.

speedyquad, thank you very much.

hopefully today i can seal up the deal on these parts.
SS rotor/hub.
Burgard billet carrier w/twin row bearings.
his price is 160 shipped for all of that.
is that a good deal?

then all just purchase some seals.

you are welcome...it could be a good deal if the parts are in near new condition...if they are in about the same condition as yours, then that is a bad deal.

any questions, send me a pm, i'll be glad to answer them for ya
