Ok I'm assuming you mean silencer and not the whole exhaust system. 2 stroke pipes are fat for a reason and 4 strokes aren't. Now I don't know anything about what would happen if you put a 4 stroke silencer on it but it would be interesting. I'm sure it won't be amazing or even good for the bike maybe but I hope someone has more info.

umm if it was the header ir wouldnt run at all cause the reason for the fatness is for a vacume to "pull" the exhaust out...

i meant the silencer aka the muffler, i need to do this because i dont have one on at all, and im making a spacer to make the muffler fit on and everything like that...
so u wouldnt think it would do anything?

i can also put a 2 stroke muffler on there, but its from a dirtbike and actually is harder to fit on

go to a cycle junk yard & get the correct exhaust before your bike looks like you bought it from fred sanford.

Actually a 2-stroke will run even if you dont have an expantion chamber. Look at golf carts, weed eaters, lawn mowers (all the 2-stroke ones of the above). They just dont have a very good power band. You could put a expantion chamber on a 4-stroke, but it would be pointless. Without getting into flow dynamics and all that crap, the exaust valves on a 4-stroke do essentially the same thing as an expantion chamber and the piston in a 2-stroke.

w/o a fatty pipe you would probably loose alot of compression.
