did anyone have any trouble removing the CABLE when they put there blockoff plate on? did anyone have to cut it or anything?

Its been about 5 years since i did it, but i dont remember cutting anything. I think everything just came off when i un-bolted it.

I did not have to cut mine at all. Just had to take it out of the clips that hold it.

I didn't have to cut or destroy anything.

Only thing I really modded was I had to splice the wire together so it would start in gear.

I went to the local shop and bought a new clutch handle and perch thats made for a dirt bike. Its a lot nicer than the stocker.

i didnt get that far lol and yes im gonna get a works or msr lever and perch, i tried to get it out of the clips calmly but...:scary:

ill get pics tommorrow or sometime and show you what i did

Ones I bought must have been generic. They were only 15$ for the clutch and brake side.

I gave the brake one to a buddy of mine. He flipped it over and used it for a clutch lever.

I have a 06 and it took me about 30 mins to remove cable and add the blocck-off plate. It was very easy, no cutting at all. I had to remove 2 screws on the caliper, 1 on the clutch lever, 2 on the chassis and 1 on the swing arm. Not sure why I removed it... but looks cleaner now. 1 less cable on my ride... also, I never used it...
