What do you guys normally wear when you go on the the trails? This past weekend I just wore a pair of Dickies and a T-shirt and it was extremely muddy. I'm wondering if a jersey like a Fox Racing one would be better, and also what pants do you wear- Just normal Jeans then wash them all the time or is there something more waterproof yet breathable?

Old work boots
T- shirt..if its hot t-shirt w/no sleeves
Old jeans..

ALWAYS- Helmet and some THOR gloves

And always a change of clothes in the truck for when were done.. i dont like ridin home muddy.

Me, my brother and a few friends are just recreational riders, never plan to race or anything..just like seeing what we can get into... kind of like a follow the leader thing..

Everytime I ride:

Fly Helmet
Pryme Gloves
Scott Googles

Ok, sorry:
If I am going to ride casually and not rip, I will wear jeans, t shirt, and a pair of boots, gloves and helmet of course.
If I am going to rip through the trees, I will wear pants, long sleeve shirt, chest protector, boots, gloves and helmet.

MSR riding pants and jersy w/ o'neil boots. The jersey dries almost instantly and is incredibly cool in hot weather. The drawback is that you sweat and don't know you're sweating. That's where a camelback or plenty of water bottles come in. You will dehydrate quickly because the jersey breathes and evaporates the sweat so quickly. I have nerf bars so the boots are not really necessary. My feet bounce off the pegs all the time so I wear them anyways. W/ heavy socks the boots can get totally soaked, like a couple of weeks ago when I buried my Rubi' up to the racks in Tolland Mass' and had to dive in to get the which cable out, didn't even notice they were wet. Great for when it's warm but suck when it's cold. Steve

If you decide to get a jersey get 1 (any brand) made out of polyester. They dry alot quicker and are cooler(heat wise)than cotton.Actual riding pant are alot better than jeans for several reasons. 1,they are designed for abuse, you'll spend more time wearing them than just wearing them out like jean.2,They dry out faster than jeans.3, breath better than jeans.4,The most IMPORTANT reason riding pants are better than jeans..... THEY DONT RUB YOUR BALLS OFF....OR.....GIVE YOU MONKEY BUTT( ) NEAR AS BAD AS JEANS!!!!!!

OH yeah, Iwear

Fox/shift pants and jerseys
Fox gloves, boots and helment. And I cram them all into my nice big Fox gear bag:D

Yeah,
There was a kid and his girlfriend about 10 miles from my house, they were riding the trails with a few other friends, none of them had a helmet on, the kid they were with said that they ran into a tree, not going fast at all, the driver of the quad hit his head on the tree and killed him instantly. doesnt take much, bro....so yes, please where your helmet....I would hate to see another death related to lack of helmets.....its just not worth it!!! :)

I can't go on a quad or anything (A) Because my parents would beat the living chit out of me if I did, and (B) Because I feel naked without a helmet

normally whatever i throw on in the morning.
we dont have any real huge trails like mountains and stuff, so i dont have to prepare for a whole day.
usually in the summer, shorts and a t-shirt, sandals or sneakers.. i dont usually get really into jumps and stuff when its hot.
spring/fall, usually jeans or track pants.. sometimes coveralls, sneakers or boots(insulated rubbers) i dont have any gear.
i always wear my helmet, which is a winter snowmobile helmet w. a tinted visor, as long as i keep up a good speed i dont sweat.
now that i just bought a sport bike i plan to buy some gear and a mx helmet/goggles.

winter, i wear my coveralls over jeans and a sweater, sometimes a coat over that.
i also have a pear of overall snow pants, heavy duty.

first thing u should wear is a helment regardless of where ur riding. when i go out riding i wear thor pants and jersey, fox gloves, goggles thor chest protectator, and a niice pear of tims haha. when i go out in my back yard riding i jus wear a helment goggles, chest protectator and jeans and dependion on the weather cut off t shirt or a sweatshirt. i have snaped 2 chest protectators from crashing. saved my ribs and all that stuff. the hospital said if i wasnt wearing it i would have broken ribs. also goggles r a must once u get dirt in ur eye an scratch ur cornea ull wear goggles belive me its nothing niice and it kills. good riding man wear the extra protection ull b glad u did
