Kfx 400 fuel mileage

I bought a used stock KFX 400 and it only gets about 30 miles to a tank of gas. Is this normal? I do long trail rides and it really limits my range.

mine doesnt do very great on gas either. i can ride all day and have to fill up once. about 3/4 the way threw the day i have to switch it on reserve and fill er up. my buddy with a 450r has a bigger carb and bigger jets and gets better gas than me.

I top my KFX400 off at the begining of the day add ride all day in wellsvill from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. It's got a FMF factory 4 kit which includes a power bomb header and a free flow pipe don't know if the pipe helps but I don't have to fill it up at all.
