When I am under moderate to heavy accelleration on my 04 trx 450r the rear end has a tendancey to go side to side slighty. This occurs on straightaways. Any kind of terrain. I run 3-4 psi in the tires.

its a byproduct of the sucky rear shock. get it revalved and add in a new link to go with it. oh and if you still run stock tires, that could be the culprit. and if you bent a rim or an axle that could cause sidewase acceleration.

:huh

it's what happens when you have more power than what the tires can handle. Normally a good thing.:huh

or are you talking about a wobble?

Does it do this on cement?

You need to mess with compression some to make it ride softer and stay planted better. Once you get it to stay planted better it'll excellerate in a nice strait line. If you can afford as other said a revalve and respring along with new link will fix it totally.

check your axle bearings and swingarm bushings

It sounds like your suspension is packing. If it happens while accelerating in a straight line of a set of bumps/whoops. Adjusting your compression can help, but you most likely need to speed up your rebound.

Rebound is already too fast stock on the rear. If anything slow it so it doesn't wont to be bouncing up before its even done compresssing.

Ive got the rebound as slow as it will go, I have to check the compression to see where its at. Its been awhile since I messed with that, but id guess its all the way soft. I am running Razrs on 350x rims, i swapped them on from my 350x when i put a hole in the sidewall of the stock tires. I wish i had the money for all the suspension stuff. Nothing is bent. It almost feels like the tires are flexing on the rims side to side. I dont think the razrs have a very stiff sidewall plus there 3-4 years old.
