clutch?

1st gear seem's a bit slow almost like low range on my 250x. so sometimes i start out in 2nd. i was doing it today a bit so i dumped it and gunned it....the clutch all the way out....and it took a bit for my tires to start spinning. is this my clutch slipping? i dump it and its like im driving a centrificul clutch cuz it takes a bit for it to catch then bog down. what can i do to fix it? i think its still stock, i pulled it once and it was in good shape but i couldnt tell if it was aftermarket or not. i need a new clutch anyway......any ideas?

sound like you shouldn't be dumping the clutch in 2nd to me.
Does first seem too low..........or is it slipping at high revs in 1st gear?

#1 check and or change your oil.
#2 if using synthetic oil...........change to non synthetic
#3 is the cable adjusted properly
#4 may be time for a clutch.
