Battery Wont Hold Charge...?

i have a brand new battery, and it works for about 2 weeks of riding, and then it dies, and i have to re charge it, and it holds the charge for about another 2 weeks and it loses it again...what would cause this, what in the motor is suposed to keep the battery charged...??

The stator and the regulator/rectifier are responsible for charging the battery. You may simply have a minor short somewhere in your wiring harness that is slowly draining your battery.

Perform a current leakage test to check:

Disconnect the neg battery cable.
Connect the pos probe of a multimeter to the neg battery cable.
Connect the neg probe to the neg battery terminal.
Maximum current leakage spec is 0.1mA. If there is more than that, start disconnecting electrical components until the leak is found.
