When you put the 05 knuckles and hubs on a 06 will the 06 caliper bolt on to the 05 knuckles?

i was told everthing should bolt up including the 06 hub. may have to put 05 tie rod on being your moving the knuckle in a 1/2" but i'm not sure. i got 05 knuckles ordered but dealer told me they are backordered.

Is it that the '05 spindle design handles so much better, or does everybody use them so that the aftermarket a-arm makers don't need to design 2 different sets of arms? I have no idea--it's just a thought. Some of these companies fib a little bit.

Duane,

Its Shawn

I dont know how or what some have done
But I personally Swapped my 05 stuff to the 06 and it wont work, the calipers wont bolt up with out rubbing on the brake disc.

I tried the 05 spindles, with 06 hubs, calipers dont bolt up the disc is to far away.

I tried the 05 spindles with the 05 hubs and discs, the calipers still rub on the disc.

So I just used the 06 stuff and it did not handle very well.

So if anyone kows FOR SURE that they have switched and it works with no interference I would like to know the combinations they used NO HEAR SAY..

Even though I like following JB around to different forums so that I can argue with him (sorry JB), I too might make the switch to the '05 front end and I would like to know what parts are required.

SOMEBODY MUST HAVE MADE THIS SWITCH?? Please share the details with us!

I ran Housers and stock arms. The Arms were not the issue.. I dont have a clue as to why I cant get my set-up to work.

I do know Im a certified Mechanic and with the parts I got that are supposed to be 05 450R stuff wont work!

Maybe some @#!$%^ sold me 400ex Spindles?

it's the fact that the 06 front end does not turn nearly as well as the 05. and you feel alot more negative feedback through the bars. along with more bumpsteer. months ago i posted pictures so you could see the visible differences
