Timing off a tooth, what happens

If timing is off 1 tooth how will the quad run??

It'll run flat. Power will be missing.

So blipping the throttle will result in it falling on it's face??? The motor idles and runs fine, but hitting the throttle it stumbles.

That sounds more like a jetting issue than a timing issue.

did you recently have the motor apart?

I pulled the cam out, rotated the motor twice, set it to TDC, put the cam in and now it's running fine. Lines on the cam gear where lined at TDC before I pulled the cam so I"m not sure what the deal was but it's running fine now.
