This question is probalby all ready on here but i am not searching through a hundred pages for it LOL! I was just wondering what exhaust works the best on the 450R, and would a slip on or a full system be best ?

The typical answer is def. go with the full system or an hrc headpipe. As for brands, Rossier, Sparks, Hmf, and Dasa seem to be the favorites. I am goin with the HMF sport series. I rode one the other day and loved it, I think it sounds better than the Rossier which seems to be the overall favorite on this site. Just my personel opinion.

In my opinion the sparks is over rated. Didnt seem to do THAT much to my bike. I have rode some quads with built motors with a sparks and they rip, but for stock motor, id get a rossier.

as with many things go "you get what you pay for". if you buy a $200 slip on its gona feel crapy. but if you buy $550 ful race pipe its gonna feel like a new motor. there are dosens of great pipe makers out there. my faves are White Brothers, Sparks, HMF, FMF, Yoshimura (a.k.a. Yoshi), Pro Circuit, Big Gun, and LRD just to name a few. right now i have a White Brothers aluminum race pipe and love it. the only other pipe im thinking about getting is the carbon pro 2 (new carbon edition of the same pipe).

i have one of the first rossiers on my '04...NO problems and great power. installs in about 4 minutes.

now with the supertrapp discs the rossier is one of the quietest too.

we have the 06.

Yoshi also told us unless motor work is being done to the 450, a full system will give you VERY minmiimal gains for what your paying for the pipe.so we chose the HRC and and slip on. The power is great and its a quiet pipe. It even past DB at WORCS sound check with a 98 W/O the quiet core!:D
