What should I do? Should I keep my Elka's? Or try and sell them and buy a relocater. And use my stock250R shocks that I have until I can find stock YFZ or 450R shocks? Or even works shocks of that length. Let me know what I should do. And what relocater. The Hetrick racing one, or the Diamond J Customs one?

I'd Keep Your Elka's IMO.

elocator will not work with 300ex a-arms hear me out on this one you will have to preload 250r shocks to put them on but yfz shocks will work beacuse they are shorter the 250r shocks the 300ex shock mounts are alot closer in than the 300ex >[]< nad the 400ex shock mounts are out further towards the wheel <[]> just look at the 4 whellers with 400ex a arms and no shock relocaror have to run 14.75" shock and 300exs with 300 arms and shocks run like 13.5" shocks so it wont work with 300 arms and 400 shocks but yfz shocks will

I ran 250R shocks when i used to run a relocater before we got my elka's. and this was with stock a-arms.

Kyle I ran stock 400 shocks with the relocator for a while, and your front end felt better than mine. I switched to PEP shocks though and it was a huge improvement. I would keep your elkas and run them untill you can get a good set of aftermarket shocks with the relocator. I have never tried, or seen the hetrick reloacator, but I do have the DJC one and it is adjustable to how high/low you want it to set.

IMO keep the elka's. If I were you , either get a pair of aftermarket 250r or 400ex length shock , but don't use a relocator. Do it the right way and cut off the old top shock mounts and weld in a new one higher. With the DJC Relocator , it makes the shocks sit more vertical.

The DJC relocator didn't make mine sit low at all. There is 2 ways you can adjust the relocator. I wouldn't go the route of cutting on your frame like that, it would be much cheaper t buy the relocator. Kyle if you want a pic of my front end with the PEP's let me know.

I would keep your elkas until you get some aftermarket 400ex length shocks to run with the relocator bracket. The 250r shocks won't be valved right to run with the relocator because of the upright position of the shock. The 450r/yfz 450 shocks would need revalved to work right with the front end too. Personally I like the hetrick relocator. It looks very well built. I haven't seen the DJC one in person but it doesn't look as strong as the hetricks to me.

I have the cheap eBay relocator and it has held up well. I am running it with custom elkas built for the relocator and burgard +2+1 300ex a arms and I think it's an awesome setup.
