Anyone keep their idiot lights and ignition when you replaced the stock handlebars ? If so where is a good place to put them and what did you do ? Some good pics would help please. I'm looking for an aftermarket handle bar, but want to keep all that stuff. I can do without the ignotion if I have to, but I like the lights since I do let other people ride my quad and it's good to know when you are in neutral. Thanks.

On my 250EX, I drilled holes on side of the bike, up close to the front fender, and I put the key slot there. I thought I remembered keeping the neutral and reverse light and putting them on the inside edge of the headlight shroud, like where the 400EX Neutral/Keyswitch is located... But I might have just trashed them.

If you have an overheat light, you don't want to throw that away.

What do most of you guys do when you put on aftermarket handlebars ? Do you just get rid of everything and install a kill switch ? I haven't seen many close up pics, but the gaugeless look in definitely clean.

Insider,

Is this for a TRX450 ? If so can I see a pic ? The website for TAG doesn't show a TRX450 kit and I want to make sure there is room for the key and lights.

Playhorse,

It's actually the same as the 400ex (pic shown on site) and it also comes with both key plates 400ex and trx450.

The clamp will also have the Tag Metals logo on the top part of the clamp (in the pic shown on site you dont see it)

All I see for the 400EX kit is the plate. Oh well, I'll just call them.

Just make something like this

I just bought the T2's bar and clamp kit for the yfz450 and then bolted a switch plate and had it angled a little bit. The yfz's works a little better then the 400ex because it comes out alittle further and alread has the bolt holes so you wont have to drill anything out.

That's nice. Is the blue switch for lights or kill?

Yeah the blue switch is for the lights, I use the key to kill it;) And I just drilled out a little hole to put in a led neutral light to the left of the key.
