Will 250r plastic fit the 400ex?

Not directly. You have to rig some mounting hardware for it.

The 250R plastic's mounting hardware when cut to the preferrable size consists of only 2 bolts. The rest of the front is held on by 4 rubber poppers and a strap that goes across the gas tank. The rears are held on like a 400EX- two posts and a latch. If you can get the 250R fenders to mount up like they are supposed to, they are very easy to take off.
