yes, i never rode with them until recently...i will always have them on my bikes now...i am even going to buy a set for my wife...she only rides once or twice a year

They've saved my legs multiple times. Get the IMS pro-peg ones. Expensive, but worth every single penny. Your footing stability increases, and you get a heelguard as well.

I love nerfs, they go on every quad I will own. I never really like heal guards though. They just always kinda anyoyed me, especialy when they get filled with mud.

PRM products make a good set too. Rode a yfz with them and they felt nice. They got the heel gaurds built in as well. :)

i never had a set until a couple weeks ago and i got the ac pro pegs and for some reason i feel alot more braver hitting jumps and riding alot faster then i used to. i love them

hey man,do u have any close up pics of your a/c nerfs on your 450r?...
i love nerfs.i've had them on all my quads.they help in the trails too.pro pegs r good.for the heel guards i really never liked them either,but the pro peg is a must....
i'm kinda looking at the a/c pro pegs or the x-factor megs pegs.i had the x-factor on my old z-400 and loved them

Very much worth it. Had a set on mine till I bent one in a roll. Decided I would go for a trail ride without them on. Sure enough, foot slipped off and went under the rear wheel. I was on crutches for a week. Ordered a new set for mine AND the girlfriends after that.

you gotta get them if you jump, or even if you dont... before i got mine i wrecked multiple times where if i had had nerfs, i would have been ok... luckily i didnt ever break anything, but i figured i should go ahead anyways as the $150 to get them would be much cheaper than if i got hurt and broke something...

my buddy was laid and couldnt ride for several months and couldnt go to work for several weeks about slipping off the pegs and having the bike go over his leg and ride all the way up his back... he was in bad shape...

i would get riding boots as well... just my two cents...

I got my leg sucked under the rear wheel of a blaster when i was 15 it pulled me off the bike still in gear and the wheel turned on right below my knee till my skin was smoked and they hadda take the wheel off to get me out....notihng broke but a toe cuz it also pulled my shoe off...

I took the plastic heelguards off my 400EX because they started making noises... 10 minutes after I took them off, my foot missed the peg on a jump and I was on the GROUND... My leg got caught in the tire and the guy I was with said I actually looked like a rag doll - I flinged down on the ground. I didn't get hurt badly, though - Just some cuts and scrapes.

I have no desire to be caught under these new Razr2's, so I think I'm going to invest in some of those IMS Heelguards.

personally i dont care for them but really think they get in the way more than help me personally but thats because i put my feet right where they would be to push my quad backwards short distances so i dont have to get off and with nerfs on i just cant do that. but i have been thinking of gettin some tusks just incase i need them for some races. ps if i had reverse i would probably not mind them at all

we just threw some $110 tusk ones on my buddies raptor, and man, those things are a steal for 110 bucks... as far as reversing, i just stay on the seat and walk on the front wheels to back up... this is a lot easier if you have shaved the front fenders by the way

i rode without nerfs when i first got my yfz and i had been used to having them and i felt a little less corageous and willing to do things that i would normally do with my other quad
i ended up getting x-factors before they kind of shut down but if you want to spend a little extra money get some blingstars
great quality and they look killer

I would never have a bike without them. If you have ever got your leg under the rear wheel you would feel the same. They are much more helpful then a burden. BTW you can use you existing heel guards if you want, they arent quite as flashy but still get the job done.
