Slip on wont slip on

Well my Hmf came in today but where it slips on to the header on the inside of the slip on its self there is a small ridge not allowing it to slide on all the way ic ant get the ridge out ive tried everything and yes i have tried using WD 40 with no luck any ideas and has anyone had this problem????

Well after alot of beating we finally got it had to take a bigger pipe and fit it inside to smooth the ridges outt hen it just slipped on and bolted up tight sounds great!!!
