suddenly NO compression!! any ideas?

My 03 Honda Rancher 350 always started ezy ran good. Then without warning wouldnt start, chesked spark, fuel etc. then found it has "0" compression. Maby the decomp. stuck open, where is it,how do i check it?? The owners manual says "the compression release is activated when starting"

The decomp mechanism is on the end of camshaft. Being a pushrod engine, the camshaft is in the crankcase.

I don't think you have the checker in there right. There has to be some compression.
