For the fifth round of the ITP Quad Cross, we headed to our first of two rounds scheduled at Speed World Race Way. Everyone seems to enjoy this track, and are excited to be racing under the lights.

With just over 200 entries for the weekend, we knew that it was going to be a long night, as everyone was lining up for practice.

And there was definitely some "Real HORSE POWER" at this round, but no, he wouldn't be racing.

Many of the riders where excited to see that Kory Ellis was at another ITP Quad Cross race. And Kory was hoping that he would be able to take the win this weekend, but I think that was on all of the pros minds.

Another surprise was Angela Butler, we where glad to finally see her back here at an ITP Quad Cross, and all of the girls where glad to just be able to lineup next to her.

There where 19 pros lined up to race. With Names like Dustin Nelson, Kory Ellis, and Jeff Spooner, We all knew there was going to be a good race.

And it was Jeff Spooner who grabbed the holeshot, with Dustin Nelson right behind him.

Kory Ellis, someone who we expected to see out front, was running in the back after getting a horrible start.

But Jeff Spooner was not able to hold off Dustin Nelson, as Dustin made the pass on him to take over the lead.

Kory Ellis worked his way through the pack, to grab the third place, but ran out of time before he was able to catch first and second.

Dustin Nelson took the win for the first moto, with Jeff Spooner grabbing the second place position, and Ellis rounded out the top three.

Jeremy Headlee took his first overall win for the year in the 4-Stroke intermediate. Jeremy who just started racing last year, and really showed improvement at every round.

Scott Cahill grabbed the second place position overall for the weekend with a 1-2 finish.

Keith Taylor grabbed the holeshot for the first moto, but was t-boned by another rider, and spent the rest of the race trying to get out of the ditch he was pushed into. Second moto he did not have such a good start, and about halfway into the race, was once again hit by another rider, causing him to crash. He was ok, but it took him a while to get his bike kick started.

But it was Dean Pierce who grabbed the win for the weekend with a 1-1 finish. Pierce now leads the class in points.

Jason Farley grabbed the second place for the weekend in the 2 & 4 Stroke Expert Class.

Dennis Capogni who had some problems as seen here in his pipe, took tenth in the first moto, but came back to take a third place for the second moto, but ended up 6th overall for the weekend, and dropped back to second place for the series.

Gordon Lanik Jr. grabbed the win for the 4-Stroke Novice class with a 1 -1 finish.

Brittany Bloodworth grabbed the third overall for the weekend, on a borrowed YFZ. Bloodworth got two bad starts, but worked her way up through the pack.

Here is number 52 Frankie Carrillo making the pass around Ray Aycox. Carrillo took the win for the Open Beginner class with a 1-3 finish.

Christy McGuffin, was one of the top contendors for the 4-Stroke beginner class as usual, got 5th place in the first moto, but blew up her motor in the second moto.

As you can see, the mud was a bit of a factor, but only for a few races. They watered the track before the expert class, and I think almost every single rider spun out at least once. And there where riders hitting eachother everywhere.


But Dylan Belto, shows us here in the beginner class, that the mud was still pretty bad, even after the experts got off the track.

Barry Bennet who is a usual as the Worcs races, decided that he would try his luck in an ITP Quad Cross event.

The race for the blaster class was intense. With a track that was hard for passing, these little kids where showing that they had no fear.

Tyler Patton, Darrel Patton's son, took over the lead for his class, but crashed shortly after that.

The hardest part for the girls, was when they caught the first gate. This track was not passing friendly so the girls had to become aggresive.

But Corry Weller was able to make her way around the boys, and also around Lynn to take over the second place position.

Some of the riders liked to look at the camera when they went by. Either way we are glad to see more women out there on the track.
