I was a bit sceptical at the idea of leaving my pride & joy in anyones hands but my own at first but after an extensive shop visit last week at the BK Performance compound and seeing the results of countless part refurbishings ready for shipment I was 110% confident my baby will be well taken care of. Good riddens to the old white / red / black color scheme - I gave Pappy full permission to do what ever he desires..

Let's do it!

There should be completed pics this weekend of ricks quad. This was not a rush job or a time required build so we all kind of relaxed and let it get done. Rick will be racing the Unidilla GNCC so crunch time is upon us now that all parts are back and installed.

I'm almost scared to ask, but why are his piggy backs turned that way???

Pappy
12-09-2006, 06:37 PM
Rick says it is to protect the rezzy's from damage and to also help keep mud off the rezzy. Ive only ever seen 1 broken rezzy and the shock was the least of the guys problems:p the mud i can understand somehwhat. I think he just likes to be damn different:D

he is selling this quad. asking price is $8500 with new tires on it. There was so many new parts added during the build, new exhaust, tires, chain, baearings and seals etc. The engine has about 20 minutes on it, built for rick by gt thunder, along with laz working over the suspension. she is ready to race.

thump4863
12-09-2006, 07:57 PM
Why does he have 2 break lines coming from the ressy? Did he have 2 lines going to each caliper? Never seen that before

Pappy
12-09-2006, 08:40 PM
double lines are pretty popular

thump4863
12-09-2006, 09:04 PM
does it just help the breaks from fading?

Pappy
12-09-2006, 09:39 PM
i reckon that is what they claim. i dont know if they work any better then single line or not.

465Stroker
12-11-2006, 04:43 AM
I am not sure why Lonestar Racing uses double lines but they do seem to work very well and are very easy to bleed. The resivors are flipped on the front shocks for added protection of the resivor compression knobs and they also work well for mud protection for the radiator.

Pappy - Let me know when you want to buy it!

For all those that have PM'd me for a list of mods - Here it is!

I am selling my personal YFZ that was completely rebuilt this past summer with only .5 hours of ride time to shake it down and go back over it – since then it has been just taking up space. It was built to race with no short cuts taken – if a part looked worn it was replaced. All the bearings & seals in the chassis were replaced with new since it had to be torn down for Powder coating. Frame was completely inspected for any cracks & breaks which it had none. Motor is 100% built by GT Thunder with OEM parts. Shocks are completely rebuilt too – brand new oil & seals.. This quad is turn-key ready for the 2007 GNCC season or just having hell of a trail quad. Pictures coming soon!
