off topic, but about motors

i just got an old riding mower from a nieghbor 4 free. it runs, but not well. i dont think it can pull anyone. tomarrow i am going to get an in-line gas filter, change the oil, clean the carb, clean the gas tank, clean the filter, and just wash it up. what else should i do to it to make it run good. i think the motor is fine and so does my dad (40 years working on cars and other kinds of motors, i trust my dad). thanks in advance.

nah, im just cruzin around in it. i still want to pimp it out though. just want to to run good. but if i take the govener off, it would go faster. where would the govener be? and i still need help with the motor.

try a new plug and such. that would go right in with the tune up.
