does anybody know if its possible to get a 450r radiator and get it to fit in a 400ex frame then run it as a oversized oil cooler? Probably just a stupid idea, but would like some input.:D

If your planning to run the 400 the radiator would be completely worthless in there.

Unless your thinking about swapping something in there eh?

na, i was just thinkin, and correct me if im wrong but a radiator and oil cooler is basically the same thing except a radiator cools antifreeze and oil cooller cools oil, so i was just thinkin if it would work to run a radiator as a oil cooler ....idk:blah:

:eek2:

An oil cooler and a radiator have different sized internal passages for moving the fluid within them. They're bigger on an oil cooler since oil is more viscous. Plus, there are no mounting points on a radiator that would accept oil lines.

You can get an oil cooler as big as you want (basically) so just use an oil cooler--not a radiator. ;)

Just remember, you go to big on the oil cooler you will loose oil pressure.
