did anyone hear about the recall on ALL the ltr-450's? something with the rear shock...where it bolts i think breaks...the welds were never finished by the "robot welder". its in the new issue of dirtwheels. supposedly they will not honor it and will not fix it..they just want everyone to know. i dont know if thats true or not but thats just what i heard. also, they said to just have a local welder fix it for you.

What page did you read that on in dirtwheels?

i jus read it. it isnt an official recall yet. the recommend that you just take it to your local welder for now.

its on page 22

been out for a few weeks now, go over to the LTR section. its somthing to do with the linkage. its breaking and causing some serious damage with the shock and swingarm.

i think the part that they will not fix it is completely false. it would defeat the whole purpose of issuing a recall . with atv's already having a bad reputation in the media world, i'm sure suzuki isn't going to say "hey, we let 6400 atvs roll out of our shop floors that are unsafe but we're not going to fix them. we just want everyone to know."

Does anybody have the May '06 issue of ATV Rider? Checkout page 40 because Jeremiah Jones' linkage broke at Glenn Helen. This was the first race for LTR.

I smell a recall:ermm:

even if they didnt do a recall and it was a weld frature or a structural manufacturing flaw they would have to fix which ever once came back to them by law. no moter operated vehicle can be sold new or used with structural defects. i went through this a while back when i bought a car with a cracked frame from an auction and then a crack was found in the frame they had to return my money even though it was an as is where is sale.
