sooo,i ripped the guts out of the oil tank, that was great. the washer wasent there so the drain bolt wouldnt budge..i brought it to the shop to have some work done.is it possible to check and see if there is an oil filter, when it is full of oil??they didnt have a filter on the bill,so i`d like to see if they put one in.

no u have to drain the oil to check to see if there is a filter and u better take a look cuz u dont want to be running it without one. the filter is not on the tank its self its on the right side of the engine. i will se a round cover with 2 bolts in it and thats were ur filter is.

This idea is a little off-the-wall, but I bet if you tipped the quad over on it's side you could remove the oil filter cover without looseing any oil.

If you remove the cover like normal you will loose some oil--no doubt--but not all of it. Just refill whatever you lost.
