400ex vs 300ex vs Warrior

hi im getting my first quad, i have ridden before, and from what i know and espescially from what ive read here, i really want a 400ex, because ive read that is is all around the best and it is very reliable.

my question is between the 3, 400ex 300ex and the warrior, how much of a difference is there between them, reliabilty wise and will i be missing out on that much if i go with the 300 or the warrior. i find them for like $1000 less than the 400.

i have/had a 400ex and a 300ex. there is a big difference in the 2. the warrior/raptor 350 is closer to the 300ex than the 400ex.

no question, get the 400ex.

reliabilty/ease of work goes to either honda, but all 3 will last a long time for you

First off welcome to the site:D

They are all great quads but the 400ex would be top pick for most people for handling, power and reliability. The 300ex and warrior are good quads but they lack the power/handling of the 400. The 300 would be my second choice just because it's a little more reliable than the warrior and not as heavy feeling. The bottom line is that that are all good quads but it will take longer to out grow the 400ex.

thanks alot guys, i will shop around if i find a 300 or a warrior for under 1500 then ill buy it, otherwise im just gonna go the extra and get a 400. thanks and this site is awesome.

The warrior is rediculously reliable but a tad heavy for any really agressive riding. You need a newer 400 if you want reverse. Thats the reason I didn't buy one when I got my warrior.

hey guys thanks for your input, i just bought a 2005 400ex today for $2800, i gotta go pick it up thursday. now i just gotta get a set of skidplates for it

My modded 300ex is a cadillac in the handling department compared to a 400ex. The 400ex is a great all around quad though.

You will love the 400ex great choice. If your still looking for skidplates try on ebay. Look for "NorthCoast ATV" there a ebay company out of Minerva, OHio. I bought two skid plate through them cheap and they work great. I bought the chassy and swingarm skids for $78.00 for my 400ex. They are 14 guage steel which is a bit on the thin side but for the price you can't beat it.

get the 400. big diff in power. u will be missing out on alot if u get anything less. trust me i had a 300 too. now it's my dad's and he can't keep up with me when i go through the trails in 3rd & 4th gear. get the 400. it handles alot better too

yea im already pretty comfortable with the 400 and it suits me well, it can pretty much handle anything that my areas throw at it.

dont get the warrior. they stoped making it however they made the craptor 350. but yea the 300ex i felt very small on and its not 2 fast .the 400ex is awesome very realiable evn if u mod it. how ever it is alot faster and both hondas r very realiable. ive owned both and still own my 400ex and would never get rid of it 4 any other quad

i have a friend with a warrior and a 400ex iv ridden both i like the 400 more although now the warrior was tharesed to hell so they rebuilt and modded it kinda lol i know the exhaust is screwed up or somethin cause it SCREAMS
