sorry but they WILL NOT fit. The LTR is long travel...and your 400ex is deff. not.

The LTR shocks are not trully long travel shocks. The shock length is longer but the shaft travel is the same as a standard set of shocks. LT refers to shaft travel not wheel travel. The real problem you'll have is that they are a little over an inch longer then you need. They will not work.

Why must people feel the need to mix and match shocks from different quads..... They will never work as good as even a set of Works shocks designed/setup specifically for your make/model quad. You'll be alot better off and get ALOT better ride just buying some shocks that are made for YOUR quad.

You buying cause I don't have that kind of money to spend on quad shocks. I am just trying to get a better ride than stock for cheap! If they don't work I can put them back on ebay and at least get what I paid for them, unless someone has some aftermarket shocks for a 400ex they want to trade?

You could do that. They will be on the stiff side biengs that they are designed for a longer a-arm which means more leverage. You could always try different springs if they are to stiff.

I believe that works has springs ready for these shocks.

Eibach, TCS, Custom Axis, C&D, Derisi, and many more. There are a lot of options.

You could also just adjust them for you. They come stiff from the factory cause suzuki dosent want people to have problems bottoming out. They will go softer.

;) just remember the shock was designed for the LTR...and the rear shock rezzies point inwards toawrds your engine...just hope you have room!

You would've been better off buying 450R shocks.

With the money you are going to spend getting these shocks set up right (if you even go that far) you are going to spend as much as a set of Works.

I would've just tried to find a set of cheap used Works on eBay and sent them to get revalved/rebuilt.

This is exactly my point. Yeah you got them for cheap Patches, but by the time you spend the money and time to get them setup correctly for your quad you could have easily afforded shocks designed for YOUR quad. But, do what you wish it is your money.
