You need to rejet with any pipe on any bike. Its simple, you let more air in or out of the engine and you need to compensate by letting more gas in (jetting) You will have to rejet!!!

Well you dont have to, but why wouldn't you? If you dont your quad could run worse than before. You got the pipe to get more power, your not going to get it unless you rejet!

That doesn't sound right. HMF has to be one of the worst jetting recommenders I've seen. Every pipe they sell they recommend a main jet WAYYY too large. Ask around on here you should be able to get some answers. What type of riding are you doing? You have the HRC kit? Do you have an air filter? Full airbox lid? HRC lid? No lid? More info and we can give you recommended jets.:D

Try 175 main, 50 pilot, needle I've seen vary a lot between four wheelers and I dont know why. If your using the HRC needle, then try 3rd clip down first and see how it runs. If it stumbles keep bringing it down till it runs good.

i think the eliptical shape is there to allow clearance between the tire/axel and the exhaust can, so there is no rubbing or denting... which seems to happen alot with my 20inch holeshot hds and stock exhuast

maybe i should look into one

I highly recamend it rode with it today for the first time and it made my 450 with the HRC so much more useable in the woods im not even joking i love this pipe its actually quieter then i exspected as well.

So does the elliptical have any performance differences compared to the round 1? Or is like mentioned above, just for clearance and looks?

HMF Elliptical vs Round ?

That thread should answer any ?'s. The sound and db's are different. Elliptical is deeper but quieter.

I wasn't for sure, that is just what I had read in the other post about them, I want to ride an elliptical so I can know which I like better for sure.
