This shock will not work with any of your stock parts. You need a custom upper shock mount on your stock frame, a CR500 linkage (1991), and a CR500 link swingarm for a 250R frame.

To make a CR 500 style shock and linkage work on a stock 250R frame you will need to cut off the stock upper rear shock mount and fab up a new one. You will also need to cut off the stock R shock linkage mount on the lower frame tube under the swingarm pivot. Then fab up a new mount for the CR500 link. You will also need a CR500 style swingarm for an R, like a Laegers or Walsh. My PEP ZPS CR500 shock measures 18 1/2 eye to eye, I don't know what kind of shock you have but it looks an inch to short.
