motor makes weird noise

[2004-400ex]

the motor sounds like its vibrating when i let off the gas. as soon as i let off after about half throttal it sounds like a vibrating noise for a few seconds. i looked at everything that would vibrate found it to be coming from the motor.

if anyone has any info i need it fast

waht do u mean by vybraiten it could be the cam chain or valves

Well its hard to tell without riding, I doubt a cam chain or anything would be bad on a 04. I think a few 04 ex's or around that year had a problem with the harmonic balancer. The ex's always have a little vibration and clicking noise in the heads but its its louder than normal Id get it checked out.

my friends is a 99 so it is prob the cam chain. would that make that sound or is it something else

Could be that or the valves need adjusted. 99 is pretty old now though so it probably wouldnt be a bad idea to replace the cam chain and check the valve clearances. Also the cam tensioner could be going bad.

i think i might tear it down my self and if its screwed then time for a 440 big bore

this probaly isnt your problem but mine used to rattle when i was about mid throttle and it was the head pipe and the heat sheild that were loose
