Check out VELOCITYFILYERS.COM. 2 HP over stock filter. Used by Dunk, Luburgh

www.sweetquads.com had the newer style K&N filters that are similar to the VELOCITY setup - Iinstalled one last week and it works well with the factory #2 PIM setting.

ltronny,

I am about to bolt on the yoshi rs5 with the crbm. I want to go with the K&N too. Do I have to go with the PIM and the FIMAK?
If so do you need the FIMAK to set it to the #2. (looking at $600+)

Do you run race gas? I read the white plug thread and it sounds like it all is a must.

Thanks,

I woud definately put in the PIM if you are adding both the Yoshi and the K&N. You won't need the FIMAK until you do more mods.

The PIM has 2 maps.

1 For the Yoshi with the arrestor
2 For the Yoshi without the arrestor

You switch maps by either plugging a shunt into the wiring harness or leaving it out. With the shunt is for MAP 1 and without is for MAP 2.

Also no need for race fuel, just use premium pump gas.

FuelATV is suppose to release an airbox elimanator kit in about 2-3 weeks. The Dyno's show it gaining about 2hp over the Trinity intake.

Yep,

It's 2hp over the Trinity if the airbox is totally eliminated on both. It's 3hp over the Trinity if you have the stock airbox or a modified airbox. :D

The trinity with a stock or even modified airbox gained 0hp and with a totally eliminated airbox the Trinity gained 1hp.

The Trinity in my opinion was a waste of my money. I was wondering why my AFR barely even showed a change. It was because it really wasn't breathing much if any better than the stock filter.
