Well it all started when I went to the local yamaha shop with a buddy of mine so he could get some jets for his raptor.Needless to say I ended up back there the next day looking at a used 2004 450 that I noticed the night before.Did some talking and looked some more.Ended up with a new 2005 leftover that they had on sale.I traded in my 2005 300ex and took it home.Took it out saturday to where we usually ride and all I can say is "oh my god!".This thing is awesome. The power is unreal compared to the 300 and handles ten times better. The only thing that I found was the suspension was quite stiff.I adjusted the front shocks some but it still seems to take the smaller bumps kind of hard.Maybe its just me,The 300 is the only thing I had to compare it to.Reguardless I love it :D :D :D

i'll get some picks as soon as it stops pouring rain.I forgot to add that its the white with the red frame. It took a little getting used to not mashing the throttle like a did on the 300ex.Once I broke myself of that it was to awesome ride.

Glad you're enjoying the YFZ. The YFZ is an amazing machine in my opinion. I'd like to see pics also...

The harder and faster you ride , the better the suspension works . ;)

I'm a Honda dude - I share your thoughts. I had the 300 rode it for 2 years then got the 450R. If I had a do over I'd have gotten the HRC kit. Enjoy your new Quad.

Congrats on the new bike, now jet it, remove the airbox, and put a pipe on it and you'll be :eek2:

The great thing about the YFZ is that you can do all the things to the YFZ that the HRC kit does to the Honda for free! Cam mod, take airbox lid off, and remove the spark arrestor and rejet (only part that costs money).

You made a great choice. I made the upgrade from a Banshee and 400EX and love it.
