i was just reading about that motor today! it also has an anti-knocking detection system, that automatically adjusts timing to what fuel your using to prevent detonation, pretty cool

Man, i was hoping yamaha was gonna step it up a notch this year and change up the YFZ. I wander when yamaha and honda are gonna switch designs up? MY dream would be for one of the productions companies to put out something with umm. lets just say like a "similiar" to 250r walsh style geometry, maybe cr500 link rear, narrow front, and a YZ450 4 speed engine:eek2: :D ........

So, the youth classes are left to keep on building on outdated 300ex's and what else? You know the kids race too - been overlooked in this industry pretty much except for the likes of Cobra and a few others but, there is NO mid level bike for the youths...

they do. the banshee has a new red and black colour scheme that looks pretty wicked but the blaster has the white/silver colour scheme again. same as the 06

well, i dont think you can really call them craptors anymore, the new ones really are a mass improvement over the old style

i mean, not that you would know, seeing as you probbably havnt even ridden a 700r yet... but you go ahead and pass judgment on them anyways

our very own harlen is doing great on them, coming in 2nd place overall at the WISP gncc over the weekend, beating who knows how many yfz's and trx's

and not forgetting the numbers of awards it has one for it handling and power ability, along with the number of testers who said it is comparible to a yfz

You are 100% right, the new Raptor is no longer a craptor at all as it has been nicknamed becuase of past issues. The new 700 Raptor is a whole new machine, and it an awesome ATV for racing in the GNCC series.

I am definately loving the new Raptors. I like the look of them (SE and GYTR) and it sounds like they are gonna perform damn good.. the GYTR in particular.

I would have to say that I hate the SE YFZ though. Wow.. that thing is UGLY! Definately not exactly my type of scheme. :chinese:

why do they keep producing the blaster and banshee in canada but not here? legal issues i guess...i am so close to canada i should just go a pick up a 07 banshee, just for the hell of it....makes my stomache sick to see change like this...but all great things come to an end :rolleyes:

but the banshee will be around forever...the Rs are still storng and they ben gone since 89, pretty amazing! the 2 strokes are so simple to replace parts for and are cheap to do so too...i wanna see a new good big bore quad, my neighbor just got a 700r, alot different from the 660 too, i like the 700 much better...the 450s, eh still the same in my books
