I am hoping to get a quick reply because the 400ex is tore apart outside.

Well I got it all out and luckily there are only 2-3 very very fine scratches on my basket. I was worried it was trashed.

My question is: How far do I tighten the bolts that hold in the springs? Do I bottom them out?

Go in a criss cross pattern (like you tighten the lug nuts on a tire) finger tighten the first cpl times then just "snug" dont torque down on them just good and snug.

Thanks man thats what I did.

My old clutch really didn't look bad but it was making noise and slipping. I hope there isn't something else wrong after all.

All I really needed some the fibers but I got the plates and springs also.

Yea I soaked it last night. It feels better now but I need to tweak the shifter cable alittle more I think. Does feel more powerful now.

My other clutch wasn't all that bad really but it was slipping and making noise.

When I ride Tuesday I can tell for sure if its better or worse.

Noticed that I needed new rear pads again while I was installing the e-brake block-off. I just changed them a month ago....
