im wondering if the 05 450r axle would fit the 05 400ex? i need to know asap if possible or not.

I DON'T THINK IT WILL FITT.IF U COMPARE BOTH AXLES WEAR THE BEARING RIDE THEY R SPACED OUT WIDER FOR THE R

It might, you will be able to find the measurements etc. to check somewhere on the net. But i do know that honda make most things on ther=ir sport quads interchangable.

Yes they will fit,i went with the 450r swinger setup,i have the 450 swingarm with a 400ex axle,i got everything off evil-bay.:D

It wont be right. The bearing surface on the 450R axle is narrower than the 400ex bearing surface. If you do it you will probably be wearing down on either your sprocket hub or your brake hub. Plus you might have your chain running 1/8 in off. Not a good idea. Heres a picture of the difference between the 400ex and 450R carriers. The one on the left is a RAD 400ex carrier, and the one on the right is a stock 450R carrier. Its an 1/8 in shorter.

alright!.. thanks for the info guys especially 400exrider707, i think we got it figured out that were just getting a whole new axle and rims.

Im suprized the 400 is wider than 450. And equally suprized that 5o% say yes and other half say no.
