Just got back from a 4 hour race. After 3 hours it overheated. I just came out of this woods and all the sudden it was spit and sputtering. Finally the engine died and you could hear the coolant boil. I looked down and mud was packed on the radiator.

I wanted to know if this happened to anyone and is there any tips from avoiding this.

taping up the front bumper to keep alot of mud out of the radiator..

and also, direct wiring your fan so that it runs all the time is a good way to keep the bike from overheating.

You can also run the duct tape from the bumper to the fenders and nose piece to keep the mud out.

Wiring your fan to run all the time is definately not a good idea. This can cause more problems that what you have now.

Before I tore mine down, I ran mine continuously for about 6 months. I never had any problems.

So what do you guys think, what should I do to clean the radiator up? Should I flush it?
