I ride a lot of trails and plan on racing gncc soon and need skids. I like the AC but would buy somethig else. Give me your opinions and pics would be nice.

PRM.....might be a few dollars more but they'll save you in the long run.....Mine have been through almost 2 Years of thrashing and hard XC Racing and still are mounted strong, wouldent go with another brand at all!

They are the best there are, I have swingarm, full body and Summit bumper. All taking a beating and working great

My Friend ran AC Skids on his Z400......didnt last half a season, The swingarm plate was killed after 1 Rocky Track and the chassis plate was bent in 2 after a scrape over a rock caught it and ripped it right back......i wont ever run AC Skids, or AC anything for that matter anymore.....just doesnt seem as quality made:ermm:

I've had my AC chassis skid on for 2 seasons now and almost every race I race is rocky, I have a PRM swingarm skid and the welds broke so I'm getting a stainless steel one made. My friend has PRM chassis skid and it's a PITA to mount.

The AC chassis skid is like $110, it has held up very well. I don't know about the swingarm skid though.

I have Armadillo skids and i love them, i am no MX'er but i ride in some rough areas and rocks cant touch em' I am not saying they are better than other brands but i do know the swingarm skid is one of the thickest available, and light as a feather, its up to you but i would recommend them to anyone, anykind is better than that factory cheap plastic excuse for a swingarm plate :D

here is the only pic i had handy, u can kinda get a look at the swingarm with the Skid

Definitely go with PRM. I have one of their swingarm skids and it's great. I've heard of some mounting issues with AC, but I've yet to hear negative about PRM. You can get them for a good price at C&D Racing (site sponsor).

i think im going to go with the armidillo swingarm skid cause it,s so thick and the ac full coverage cause i like how it comes up in the front. thanks for all of your input
