yah but all the fun you have on them kinda makes it pay for the rest, you know

Wow, that's a nice lookin' quad. I'd say tops would be 2500. But you shouldn't get less than 2000 for it.

I'd move up to a 400 before the 450.

if they're a dec rider why stop at 400? in a few months they're gonna want a bigger quad anyways... soo either dump money into making a 400 fast, or jut bying a 450 in the first place...

why? spend a grand more and get 2 times the quad. i take if you havent ridden a 450. everything about them is better from the power band, torque, suspension. ive only had my 400 for a year and im moving up to a 450 as soon as money will allow it. if your coming off a 300ex, going to a 400 is useless.

If you are stepping up to a bigger quad I'm gonna go with what other people are saying and get a 450. I went from a 300ex right to a 250r. The 400ex really isn't that big of a step up from the 300.

Well at the moment, 450 parts are more expensive then 400s. You might be able to buy a 450, and in the next day or two you can race...But what happens when something breaks? The only difference between a 400 and a 450 in my opinion is the engine and costs for the parts.

The price of the parts is really not going to be much more than the parts for the 400ex. A arms, shocks, swingarm, etc they are all more or less the same, just set up slightly different from quad to quad. And with the 400 you would be spending more on motor work to make it cometative, where as with the 450, just get a pipe and your good.

I'm talking about everyday use and not racing. Yeah of course, if you're racing..Get the 450. Because that's pretty much what everyone is racing. But for trail ridin', and screwing around on..I don't see why you would want anything bigger...Unless you're competative.

Whats going to be more expensive about the 450 with everyday use? Just about the only thing is it'll eat a little more gas. I do mostly trail riding too, and a little racing thrown in. The 400's have decent power, but are too tame, and you'll get bored with the power quick. But thats just my oppinion, as long as you stick with honda you'll be good.

I'd get the 450R if i were you, just my opinion.
