Even thogh I live in CT I have been to that upper island, hook crap part of Michigan. Up in Cedar River, Michigan there is a place callled Forest Island Trails. It's 38 Acres and it is pretty good. There is also another place, Cheboygan, MI also on the hook of Michigan crap, and it is called Blakc Lake Trails. If you tell me where in Michigan you live or are going than I can tell you one because, I go to Michigan alot.

There are tons of trails off of m-33, north of I75. rose city, mio luzerne(sp), atlanta. All with trails ranging from tight woods to some nice open spots, usually snowmobile trails. Also alot of campgrounds in those area's were you can ride right from your campsite on to the trails.

Yeah there are quite a few trails right in the Clear Lake/ Rose City area, plus they have an ORV ordinance in Ogemaw County that allows you to ride on the shoulder of the road from dawn till dusk @ 20 mph. This makes it very easy to get to a restaurant or gas station from the trails or your campsite. Also like stated in an earlier post, there are quite a variety of trails in this area. St. Helen, which is 10 minutes south, has a nice little hill climbing area to play around in, or Bull Gap near Mio, which is about 20 minutes north, has a very nice hill to drag race or climb on.....
