hrc headpipe vs. aftermarket on 06

was wondering if you can gain power from changing the hrc head pipe to a aftermarket full system, right now im running a hrc headpipe and white brothers e seriesslip on.

Dont waste your money. lots of guys I have talked to swear buy the hrc. they said honda nailed it when they made that pipe. I just actually picked one up and throwing it on with an hmf slip on if your looking for a lil more punch the hmf is supposed rock if you ever read dirt wheels and see the racer updated blah blah blah all the fast hondas (that are winning) are using hmf. so if the pros use it.........just my .02

you wil gain some but imo it wont be enough to constitute a $500 investment.

I'm in the same boat with looking for a slip-on to complement the 06 HRC header. Haven't seen any real numbers and don't want to spend the $$$$$ to not see some gain. I really want to put on a aftermarket slip-on cause the 06 exhaust is kinda whiny. I want a better sounding exhaust, but not at the price of losing or not gaining any power.

Rather spend my money on the suspension first unless I can see some data that shows a slip-on will improve over th stock pipe with HRC kits. Don't want to get rid of the HRC header yet. :)

i have the hrc header attached to the white bros slip on and i took it off and lost about 2 bike lengths in a race against my friends yfz450, u will be amazed by the power difference, if you put the slip on on to the hrc kit you do have to jump your main up to a 175,, but u will be amazed seriously.

The stock muffler uncorked with the HRC kit in my opinion is as good as most aftermarkets full exhausts!!!Just dont look as good or sound as good!!!JMO!!!!
