How to keep aftermarket plastic from melting!!

I have some aftermarket Fullbore plastics that i just bought, so i don't want to melt the rear fender with my exhaust. I was wondering what you fellas did to your aftermarket plastics to keep you exhaust from bubbling through your plastic?

I have been trying to find som heat tape like was on the stock rear fender, but can't find any. Were did you guys find some if you did??

OK go to rockymountain.com and look in exhaust and then exhaust accessories.

get a small roll of header wrap and wrap around the area of the pipe that is close to the fenders. any auto parts store or speed shop should have it or can get it.
