will running a fully synthetic oil help quite down a noisy valve train, if so how much?

The very best answer you're going to find is to try some and see what effect it has on YOUR engine.

Some report that full synthetic oils do help quite down noisy valvetrains. Will it help your engine and to what extent? Who knows...

I've used both GN4 and Amsoil Syn. in my 400ex... I could not tell any difference in the notoriously loud valve train of the 400... They just tic,,,,

they tick,its normal.but you are supposed to adjust the valves every 100 hours(i think its 100 hours)but i adjust mine once a month no matter how many hours ive rode it.i run rotellaT 15/40 in mine and it doesnt tick as loud as it usually does.
