View Full Version : Is my comp.release stuck open? HELP

My trx350tm Honda Rancher was running perfect then after lunch it wouldnt start. Found it has NO compression I think the automatic comp. release has stuck open. Where is it, how do i check it?

it is usually attached to the cam.

I'd take off the valve cover and observe the opening and closing of the valves by slowly spinning the engine over by hand.

If the decomp mechanism is the issue than that might be a *****. I believe the cam on those engines is inside the crankcase. Not sure it there is easy access to it or not--I'm guessing not.
