carb is leaking!

my carb on my 440 is leaking and it wont stop. i think trash is in the seat of the valve inside, but i dont know. its leakin out of the drain hole in the bottom...where you can drain the carb. thanks for any help

That was my problem, I had dirt in the seat. I took an airhose, blew it out and have not had a problem since.

your floats could be stuck, causing gas to enter the carb non-stop, so it spitting out all the excess gas out the overfill tube. take the bottom bowl off and play with the floats (2 round plastic like bubbles) to make sure they're freely moving unobstructed. if there stuck up it's like you're pinning the throttle letting gas enter the carb, but it's not going into the egine and out the drain tube.
