I have a no link LSR frame/ DC4 swingarm and the shock goes right where the OEM airbox would set. What do you guys do for an airbox setup with this style frame/rear end?

right now im moving the airbox back, and extending the intake boot... but is there anything else i can buy instead of having this setup.

i know LSR used to make an airbox , but i dont see it on their website anymore

I used a 85/86 atc250r airbox, I cut the top off, notched the back so it goes under the seat latch some and secured it with wire ties. I used the intake tube and used the coupling and piece of radiator hose that was on my old one and it was done. I have yet to hit the bottom of the box on the swinger. The 85/86 airbox has a notch in it for the rear shock, this is why it doesn't hit. Some say to use a 88 or 89 250r airbox, as it has a notch in it for the rear shock, and the cut the top off and wire tie it in.

I'm having the same problem so I am using a ESR airbox eliminator kit and a waterproof outwear cover.

i think im going to try and buy a UM aluminum box and cut it up and weld it back so its as small as possible while still being able to get the filter in. im not sure if its going to work but we'll see.

cool thanks for the info everyone...

i ended up making my own airbox out of aluminum and riviting it together...

reason is because when bottomed out all the way the caliper would hit the oem airbox.
