need help with Z250 tether wiring

I'm trying to figure out where to hook up the ignition side of a Pro Design tether on my wifes Suzuki Z250. My local dealer mechanic said to either the orange or the orange/white from the handle bar switch. When I use either it blows the 15 amp main fuse. Could someone shine a bit of light on this or could email me a wiring schematic. Need hooked up by tomorrow night. Thanks

it may be the same as the Z400????
